LinkedIn will show you exactly who visited the resource, and for how long. You can then send a connection request, getting them into your network of followers, and can start to build a relationship through your content efforts from there.

    Alternatively, you can keep the form, but wrap the resource on the thank-you page or email inside the SmartLink. This would give you both the email and the opportunity to build the relationship on LinkedIn as well (not to mention more data on your funnel—what percentage of people who requested the resource actually viewed it? Etc.).
